Without a car in Cyberjaya, is like having no legs. Waiting for a bus in Cyberjaya feels like eternity. And when the bus finally comes, everyone forgets about what they studied in Moral, about queuing up to get on the bus. If you’re lucky to squeeze through some smelly, some sweaty, some bigger people, your journey is not a relief yet. Because the bus only comes once in an hour, everybody will try their best to squeeze in every corner and nook of the bus. The bus law may say it can only hold 40, but it feels like a 100.
From Cyberjaya, to reach KL takes 2 hours. Many mastered the art of sleep standing. Many mastered the art of having their heads bang on the windows and still look asleep.
So when we got our first car, a Proton Wira Aeroback 1.3, it was a great blessing. For 5 and a half years, it has faithfully brought us to our destinations, Cyberjaya, Church in Subang, office, friends houses, parties, bringing friends in the car, relatives, families. We faithfully looked after it well, bring for servicing when it’s time, when weird noises start vibrating, we bring it for diagnostics and repaired it, when we have accidents we heal it… it has become a part of our lives.
So when we had to sell it off, no matter how straight a face I showed my husband, giving reasons that it’s just a car… I felt a little emotion, that something so earthly material, can become so personal.
25th September 2007, goodbye my faithful friend. Hope your new owner is worthy to have you.

I’m sad again reading this…..
… can imagine how it’s like… guess it’s a part of transition. Yell this way if you need a ride… I don’t mind, and after all, a car is meant to be DRIVEN around… better yet with PEOPLE in it!!
Thanks Julia!!! >:D< (ym hug emoticon) Currently we can use Mat’s sis’ car. She’s on semester break holiday. God is good, He always meets our needs at the correct time.
Indeed, it’s not the object, but the meaning we attach to an object that helps us “see” the object as it is.
