This post is long overdue. On the 6th October, 2007, CDPC worship team gave both my husband and I such an elaborate farewell dinner. One of our pastors thought it might encourage more people to leave.
We started attending CDPC’s service on the 2nd week that CDPC started. It was then held on the groundfloor of Malaysian Campus Crusade in SS2. There were a number of reasons that we joined CDPC in the first place. We actually started by attending the Sunday service at Kajang Methodist Church. The Sunday service starts at 7.30am. It was extremely difficult to wake up early and travel such along distance to church. Other than that, the service was bilingual, chinese sermon, with english translation. I found it quite difficult to concentrate to the sermon.
So our friend, Charles, invited us to his newly started church, City Discipleship Presbyterian Church. It had only a handful of members then. We continued to worship there, and made friends, joined the cellgroup, and then started serving in the music ministry, and then the children ministry… we wanted to serve in whatever ways we could to the Lord, for He has poured so much blessings on us that it’s uncountable.
To be given such an elaborate farewell… we were speechless.

It was like attending an engagement ceremony. The decoration, the way the table was arranged, the flowers, the balloons, the food! Wow… Sharon and your team… you guys should start something like David Tutera party planners.
Food
I really really want to thank Sharon especially for being so thoughtful about what food to order for the night. She consulted us first on what kind of food that Mathias can and couldn’t eat. I’m really touched. I can’t thank you enough.
Thank you Pastor Caleb for molding me to worship lead, eventhough it was for such a short period of time.

Thank you Wee Lee, Kevin and the PA team for all the PA help you did for me especially for Awana and Sunday School.
Thank you Joyce for countless helps to replace me to do worship leading in children’s church.
