What has been happening:
- We haven’t got a place. The procedure to rent a place is sort of ridiculous. First, you can only inspect the house when it’s open for inspection. Then, if you like it, you have to fill up an application form and submit it to the agent with a copy of some identification (and to photostate our passport costs AUS$0.20 per copy). After that, the agent gets to choose who to rent the house @_@
- I think we know nearly half of Melbourne’s tram routes already after travelling so much to the city and house inspections. The public transport here is so efficient. Buy 1 ticket, you can use the tram, train and bus as many times as you want in a day and it costs AUS$6.30
- Mat’s uni is very nice. There’s even a small park in the middle.
- There are ALOT of FLIESSSSSS!!!!!! They fly to your face, your mouth, your nose, your ears, your body, EVERYWHERE!!! ARRGGHHH!!!!!…. and they are not afraid of your hands at all! You can actually stroke them when they land on you and they won’t fly away! DARN IRRITATING!!!! There are alot of fly saluting here (waving your hand in front of your face).
Sorry no pictures yet. We haven’t been doing any sight-seeing either with all the accommodation inspection and Mat’s enrollment and everything. Today is the 2nd time we went to Uni Melbourne to complete Mat’s registration. And it’s not complete yet. He still needs to go on Thursday to see where his office is. And again next Tuesday, to meet the director of his scholarship provider. Somemore with his leg condition… he’s been using his ‘tongkat’ these past few days. Right knee giving him problems… sigh… God will heal, in His time. So, I haven’t taken out my laptop yet, it’s still neatly packed in my bag. Will only take it out when we get a place. When you see pictures… that means we’ve found a place! Using Mat’s laptop at the moment.
