Last Saturday, Mat and I tried to make our own bread. It was successful… but it didn’t really look so nice. So I tried making it again yesterday. 2 loaves of bread. And it is a beauty! I made 1 plain bread, and another one I just added in raisins. Toasted homemade bread is delicious.

1 plain loaf, and the other raisin loaf
Why we made our own bread? Cause all the bread here contains soy flour. I really wonder why they must put soy flour in all their breads. We did find bread without soy flour, sold in the vietnamese bakeries in Richmond. But since we know how to make our own bread now… you can’t help but have the feeling of accomplishment when you see your own finished baked bread.
Those bread look perfect (the shape, as well as the colour), they look the same like the ones sold in the shop.
I like to bake my own bread too…. but the proofing take such a long time. It would be much easier with a bread maker.
