On our last day in Lorne, we did abit of walking. We walked until Mathias didn’t want to walk anymore
We walked to Teddy’s Lookout. It’s less than a kilometre walk, but it was all up hill, and the hill is very very very steep. I would say min 45 degrees.
On our way up, we saw another friend!
It was a very windy morning too. The wind was blowing so strong that at certain point I felt like I can fly. This koala was curling up so tightly because it’s pretty cold with the wind blowing so strongly and all.
When we reached Teddy’s Lookout, once again…
WAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And picture below is what we see up there.

It was of course easier to walk back down, but there were certain points on the hill that you have to watch your step, or else you’ll tumble down like humpty dumpty. It’s soooo steep that Mat’s legs was even shaking while walking down the hill.
After Teddy’s Lookout, we borrowed our friend’s car again to go to Erskine Falls.
After we parked our car, walked to the entrance, and saw steps…. means… more walking and climbing…. especially uphill!
Mat was saying he prefered steps than the steep road just now.
And here we are: Erskine Falls
You will be absolutely mad to jump into the water. The water is absolutely freezing. And that day, it was so windy, and it was about to rain… brrr…..
To tell you the truth, Sarawak’s waterfalls are much nicer than this

Mat asking me to pose for a picture… fit for a magazine eh?
After Erskine Falls, we went back to the town of Lorne, and walked around there.
Welcome to the town of Lorne. Population is only around 2000 I think. There’s no school in Lorne. The nearest school is like half an hour away in the next town.
The town is just beside the beach. Our friend said, during summer, this place is packed. We did the right choice to come here so early in the spring, and avoided all the crowd. And we were very blessed to come on a weekend with near perfect weather.
The sea water is so cold that it hurts. It really hurts.
After a while, it rained. So up we went to walk around the town. Most of the shops are very touristy, in fact, all the shops are touristy. Food here is extremely expensive. This is a tourist town, and you have no choice but to eat.
Like this spaghetti that I ordered, costs AUD14.50
Guess what I saw among the rocks?
Sea anemone, or urchin or whatever it is.
And finally, a not-very-successful bollywood pose:
By the way, this is not the last part of our Great Ocean Road trip. There’s one more last part. I have saved the best for last. Be back next week!
