As you can see from the lack of blog updates, it either means I’m away somewhere interesting… OR… there’s nothing interesting at all to write about.

There’s nothing interesting at all to write about……….. duh

We have been trying to go around exploring. As I got myself a bike, we try to go out cycling together at least once a week on Saturday or Sunday. There was one day we got lost somewhere. I did bring along a camera, but nothing much to snap. No aliens… no spaceships… no weird food… nothing.

Mat’s been busy lately as well, as you can read from his blog. So I’m just here doing my normal routine everyday.

There was one particular news Mat told me which is a little interesting.

Exam week is here. Mat has one paper to sit for next Monday. Nothing interesting about that. The interesting thing is the venue of his exam hall.

It’s at the Melbourne Museum!!!!

How cool does that sound! So I was imagining him sitting in a hall with dinosaurs looking over his shoulders and stuff like that. He said no lah… it’s at the building opposite Melbourne Museum, the Royal Exhibition Building. According to his friends, inside that hall, there are paintings on the ceiling of the hall. So if he’s stressed out over the paper, he can just look up and see an angel watching over him or something.

But I still like the idea of dinosaurs lurking around them.

Honey, just don’t stress out too much and become one of the prehistoric Homo sapien display there.

Heh… the title of this post doesn’t sound so good…

Saw this poor pigeon while waiting for the train in the city.

It lost all it’s toes/claws… ouch!… wonder how it lost them. Maybe it wanted the train to run over it’s claws to cut it’s nails? Or maybe it wanted to commit suicide but decided not to last minute and when it want to fly away, the claw got run over? Or maybe somebody was just trying to see if pigeon feet is good in dim sum?

We’ll never know… only if birds could talk.

This must be the funniest joke I’ve ever heard.

We all know who Bruce Lee is right… well, those people from my generation that is. Some of you know him as Lǐ Xiǎolóng. During my time, when I watch his movies, I’ll always watch in awe and wow this and wow that with every kung fu move he makes. He can kill his enemies as easy as swatting flies.

It does seem like his favourite weapon of destruction is the Nunchucka. So why is his weapon, the Nunchucka so deadly? Is it because of his super impressive fast moves and strength of him using the Nunchucka?

Notice how he loves to HL – Hao Lian (show off) his swift moves of swinging the nunchucks over and around his body and shoulders and whatever, and finally “kiap”(locks) them in between his armpits. After all that movement, his armpits sure sweaty and smelly one right? Somemore go and “kiap” the nunchucks under his armpits, then continues swinging it around his enemies…. of course his enemies die lah! Even before the nunchucks hit them, they would have fainted because too smelly lah!

1. You unwrap gifts very carefully,so you can save and reuse the wrapping. (and especially those bows). Please recycle, save the earth, planet, environment, etc..
2. When there is a sale on toilet paper, you buy 100 rolls and store them in your closet or in the bedroom of an adult child who has moved out. hmm… better still, go office and do your business, save toilet paper, save water.
3. You keep a Thermos of hot water available at all times. I don’t have ler.
4. You save grocery bags, tin foil and tin containers. You use the grocery bags to hold garbage. Tin containers for biscuits and keropoks mah… recycle recycle.
5. You hate to waste food: a. Even if you’re totally full, if someone says they’re going to throw away the leftovers on the table, you’ll finish them. (your mom will give a lecture about starving kids in Africa ). My parents use to say this: “During our time ah, where got so much food to eat, blah blah blah…”
6. You have Tupperwares in your fridge with three bites of rice or one leftover chicken wing. You don’t own any real Tupperware – only a cupboard full of used but carefully rinsed margarine tubs, take out containers and jam jars. I think I have 5 ice cream boxes, 4 microwavable containers, 2 jars….
7. You have a collection of miniature shampoo bottles that you take every time you stay in a hotel. I don’t have a collection, but yeah, I always take
8. You wipe your plate and utensils or wash them in a small basin of hot water before you eat every time you go to a restaurant. So true! Placebo… so you think it’s cleaner, and all the bacteria dies.
9. You own a rice cooker and slow cooker. Now have to use stainless steel rice cooker somemore.
10. You wash your rice at least 2-3 times before cooking it. And then use the water to water your plants.
11. You fight (literally) over who pays the dinner bill. I pay, no I pay, noooo I pay, no no no I pay… be my guest.
12. You have a teacup with a cover on it. Hahaha… yep… avoid dust, avoid hot drinks becoming cold too fast.
13. If you’re under age 20, you own a really expensive Walkman, if you’re over 20,you own a really expensive camera. Check… check… when am I getting an Ipod leh?
14. You’re a wok user. Greatest invention ever!
15. You only make long distance call after 7pm. “”Wei, why you call before 7, so expensive!” Now got internet, cheap cheap.
16. You prefer your shrimp with the heads and legs still attached – it means they’re fresh. Absolutely!
17. You never call your parents just to say hi. I do, and very often somemore.
18. If you don’t live at home and when your parents call, they’ll ask if you’ve eaten, even if it’s midnight. They used to do that, but now they ask “cold or not?” (It’s winter in OZ land now)
19. Your parents tell you to boil herbs and stay indoor when you get sick. They also tell you not to eat fried foods or baked goods because they’re heaty (yeet hay in Cantonese). I still get this all the time “drink lots of water”.
20. You email your Chinese friends at work, even though you only sit less than 10 feet apart. If talk loudly, later boss ask “no work ah?”.
21. You always cook too much. Notice this during Chinese New Year… as if cooking for an army!
22. You eat every last grain of rice in your bowl, but don’t eat the last piece of food on the table. Cause Mummy said, if I don’t eat all my rice, later got pimples!
23. You starved yourself before going to all you can eat buffet. Hmm… honey… that sounds like you.
24. You know someone who can get you a good deal on jewellery or electronics or computers. I don’t know anyone.
25. You own your own meat cleaver and sharpen it. Yes! But I still don’t know how to sharpen it.
26. Your toothpaste tubes are all squeezed paper-thin. And rolled up too!
27. You know why this list consists of only ‘28′ reasons. Yee Fatt. Fatt fatt fatt!
