I am still ALIVE!!!
I know…. I know… I haven’t been updating my blog for more than a year. I have reasons!
Reason 1: I was working 2 jobs, and by the time I reach home I’m dead tired. And yes, I sometimes worked Saturdays too. And I wanted my Sundays free of doing anything!
I think that’s the only and best excuse I have 😛
I have also been traveling a lot during the past year. A lot of things have happened and I shall try and recall those events and blog them up since I have all the time in the world… AT THE MOMENT.
In brief:
BIG NEWS no 1 – Mathias has finished his Phd.
BIG NEWS no 2 – We have LEFT Melbourne Australia. I’m imagining shocking faces from some of you.
BIG NEWS no 3 – We have NOT moved back to Malaysia. Guess where we moved to?
Of allllllllll places…
We moved to:

SOUTH KOREA!!!!
We are just in time to catch the full bloom of the cherry blossoms or sakuras
I can guess what is your facial reaction. It’s either @_@, which most of our friend’s reactions are… or, it’s WOW!…. I KNOW RIGHT?!!! SUPER WOW!!!
This is our 7th day here! I still can’t believe it. Every morning I wake up and Mat goes off to work, I’m still amazed that I’m in South Korea… a country which we know no one, we don’t know anything about the culture, and worst or excitingly, whichever way you want to see it, I pick the latter…. we don’t know anything about the language!
So why Korea a lot of you asked. Well… Mathias’ Phd wasn’t going to go on forever. It was our 4th year in Melbourne already. And he had to start looking for a job. We prayed for God to open only ONE door, because if He opens too many, we’ll have a headache about where to go.
So Mat applied here and there, and true enough, only 1 door was opened… and it was WIDE open. And when Mat told me the news, I somehow felt the peace of God, that it’s ok to go to Korea.
Mathias will be using this road everyday to work
You know, when God provides, He doesn’t provide JUST enough, His provision is OVERFLOWING… just so amazing that you just have to say it’s from God. When we went back to Malaysia for a “rest”, God even provided us a Korean language express class taught by a Korean! How amazing is that? I don’t think it was coincidental, but it was God’s divine arrangement.

So yes, we had an express lesson for 14 days, every afternoon without fail. So our “rest” in Malaysia wasn’t really a rest at all.
Our teacher must be really good, because we can read hangul now. Problem is, we don’t understand what we’re reading 😛
Exciting times ahead! Can’t wait to see what God has installed for us here in Korea.
I’ll be blogging more often now, unless something comes up. So stay tuned!
I’m glad ur blog alive again!!! Happy for both of you….I’m looking forward to meet u there!
Very cool blog. My wife and I are thinking about moving to Korea in the next couple years. It is inspiring to read your story and see how you guys adapt.
