Guess what happened tonight?!

Mat and myself went to attend something in church which started at 7.30pm tonight. I finish work around 6.15pm, and I had to rush off to catch the tram, and reached home at 6.36pm. So I quickly chowed down my dinner and off we went to catch the 6.50pm tram.

So after church, I was hungry.

We have to pass by the city to switch trams to get home. So while waiting for our tram, I decided to get some French Fries from a shop called Lord Of the Fries.

And with my first mouthful…. I regretted it.

It tastes so horrid. The chips are so soggy, and sauce tastes funny… it spoiled my whole appetite.

I should have gone back to ask for a refund, because, right in front of their shop, they have this big claim saying “The Best Fries You’ll Ever Try”. The fries not cheap ok… $4.70!!!!

Yahhhh Right….. =_=

So when we finally reach the tram stop near our house, got down, and started walking home….

guess what I found?

I was like… @_@…

Mat picked it up and said “nah… your refund”

Cool eh?!

At first, when I first saw the note, I thought I saw $50… I was like whoa… but when we looked closer… $5 only lah… I guess my eyes was greedy 😛

So there… an unexpected refund eh? … some more got extra 30cents :”> God is Good!…WOOHOO!

I’m not a lover of cats, but this cat… there’s no denying, is a very beautiful cat. It has luscious long black fur, even better than my hair!

Tried a few times to make the cat look at me for a good picture

It doesn’t belong to any of the residents in my apartment. Belongs to a neighbour somewhere, but it always come to our apartment. I think my neighbour downstairs has been enticed by it’s alluring purring purr purr.

So why is this a freakin’ cat? Imagine climbing up the stairs after a long hard day at work…

… and a black moving fur ball suddenly appears out of nowhere at the top of the stairs.

BAH!~ This freakin’ black cat has made me nearly jump out of my skin countless times that it’s not funny =_=

Last night, Mat and I went for dinner with a few friends of Mat at Moroccan Soup Bar, a moroccan restaurant… duh.

Let me give you a brief introduction of Mat’s friends (also considered my friends now lah).

1 is doing post doctorate degree (that means this person has a phd already)

1 is doing a phd

1 has a master degree

All 3 researched on the same field.

Another, is a multimedia designer (like me).

So…. after dinner, the 5 of us came out of the restaurant, continued talking like usual, and 10 minutes later, was still talking outside near the restaurant. Then all the sudden, someone decided to look up at the moon.

And Lo and Behold…. this is what we saw.

Whoa~!…. what is that?!

And the conversation switched to something along these lines:

You know Signs, Night Shyamalan’s…

Oh you know… feels like those crop circles….  =_=

Is something bad going to happen?

A meteor is going to come crashing through those circles?

It looks like an angel’s halo.

Oh…. you mean there’s a gigantic angel standing right there with that humongous halo!? @_@

And then the conversation switched to How On Earth does that circle form?

You know… it looks like a table lamp.

Somebody’s shining a torchlight from above.   >_<

There’s a pub nearby and shining lights to the moon…. like Batman!

You know…. standing with 3 so called “intellectuals-with-higher-than-degree-paper-holders-in-the-field-of-engineering”…. I would expect more scientific answers right?

Unfortunately, non were experts in the realm of air particles.

But they came close…. somewhere along the theory of a rainbow! Finally… a sensible breakthrough!

The “theories” went on for around half an  hour! In the freezing cold of 12 degrees Celsius! It was funny that the 5 of us keep staring at the moon, and other passersby couldn’t even care less.

One of us said, “You know… it’s like the movieI see dead people. Only the 5 of us can see that ring around the moon, and no one else…. wuuuu~”…..du du du du du du du du …. tune of the twilight zone.

In the end, went home and googled it.

It’s a moon ring, or a winter halo. Go read about it if you’re interested.
