Oh my Samsung smartphone,
For almost 2 years, my patience honed,
Never knew that you were so smart,
You’re definitely a work of art.

Oh, how I know all your favourite things,
But know not when you prefer to ping,
Your favourite app is Messaging,
Your favourite key is the letter “B”,
Your favourite question is “Copy or paste?”
Sometimes my answer is yes,
But most of time, its “Damn it!”

Oh, how considerate at times you are,
Automatically scrolling my text afar,
Even disallowing me to end a call,
So I could shell out some dime, for the voice message at the end of the call.

I’ve never understood why’d you put me on edge,
Switching yourself off without my knowledge,
Locking and unlocking, at your free will.

Too smart for me to handle,
My mind you had me mangled,
Oh my Samsung Magic,
How you’ve made my life so tragic,
How much I wanted to love your magic.

It’s time to put you to rest,
And give my mind a rest,
I wish you all the best.

With the advancement of technology, spelling doesn’t seem important anymore, thanks to the Autocorrect function in our computers and mobile phones. When you want to spell something that you’re unsure of, or spelt it wrong, the autocorrect tries to guess what you’re trying to spell. Sometimes it gets it right, and sometimes…. well… darn funnily wrong!

I was having this Facebook chat with my cousin, when I suddenly realized what autocorrect corrected, but it was too late… I’ve hit the ENTER button.

The story went along these lines:

Me: Do you have Line or watsapp or kakaotalk?
Cousin: Line, whatsapp, kakaotalk, viber, skype, tango, maaii,… All I have

Me: Normally hotels in South Korea will give free wife.
Cousin: Ok… Hotel give free wife… Lol.
Me: free wife… lol…. WIFI… this is really funny…!!!

In a different, recent chat:

Uncle: So, is everyone prepared for CNY?
Mum-in-law: Quite relax this CNY. Almost everything bought from shop. No more homemade scar ciao.
Uncle: What is homemade scar ciao?
Mum-in-law: Aiya, its acar and siobi. My Ipad don’t understand Bahasa Melayu. Always change the spelling by itself.

Hope you had a good laugh ^^(I’m afraid only Malaysians will get this joke)

Still think spelling is not important? Think again.

On a different note, I suddenly remembered a conversation I had with one of my sisters at Nandos:

Me: What side dish would you like to have with your roast chicken?
Sister: I’ll have the potato wedges and cholesterol.
Me: Cholesterol? There’s not enough cholesterol in the roast chicken and potato wedges huh?
Sister: ?? …
Me: I think you’re looking for the word … Coleslaw?
Sister: … @_@…. yeah… LOL
Me:  -_-

Have a joyful week!

It was 10.30pm at night. I was already in my pajamas.

Suddenly…

… a phone call came…

Flo: Yoboseyo?

Jay screaming through the phone: FLORA!!! COME DOWN NOW! COME OUT NOW!

… *my whole body stiffened up*… *trying to calm myself down*… *did Jay get himself into an accident?*…

Flo: What? What are you talking about?

Jay still screaming through the phone: COME OUT NOW!! I HAVE A CAR!!! LET”S GO TO GYEONGJU!!!!

Flo: What? Gyeongju? Now? You what? (still trying to make sense of the conversation)

Jay STILLLLL screaming through the phone: LET”S GO TO GYEONGJU!!! I HAVE A CAR!!! LET”S GO!!!!

*looking at Mat’s pale face because he thought too something bad has happened*.

Flo to Mat: Jay said he has a car and he said let’s go to Gyeongju now.

Mat: *sigh of relief*… Gyeongju? Now?

To sum it up… yes, we went to Gyeongju together, Jay, Rayda, Mat and I, at 10.30pm at night.

Gyeongju is a major tourist attraction in South Korea. I haven’t been there as a tourist. Just pass through every time we need to go to the airport. It’s only about 30 minutes drive from Pohang.

So I suggested, since everything is closed, let’s have some midnight snacks.

So we stopped at this place which I still don’t know what it’s called.

And then Rayda asked “Is that a horse?”.

Mat replied: “No… it’s a rhinoceros”.

Jay bursts out into hysterical laughter.

We ordered some KFC – Korean Fried Chicken, and chose a spot, and ate there like homeless ppl.

Our KFC:

KFC always comes with these radish cubes.

We were eating our chicken peacefully until we realized that “someone” was watching us:

So off we went to another place. I still don’t know what this place is called. When I visit Gyeongju as a real tourist, I’ll let you know.

It’s a lake, where you can paddle fake swans. Fortunately there’s a real bird standing peacefully in the lake.

So I was quietly taking pictures of this crane (I think it’s a crane), sneaking up quietly and gently towards the crane trying to get a clearer picture…

when Jay said “It’s ok, it will not fly away”.

And he walked noisily right up to the bird…

And lo and behold….

The bird flew away…. -_-

Fortunately I got a decent shot.

I promise I’ll get better pictures of Gyeongju next time.

If you follow my blog, do you remember nearly 3 years ago, we bought a box of kiwis for only AUD2?

And you know what happened after this?

We have never touched a single kiwi until now…. so yah… lesson learnt… do not be greedy!

Got lah… when we eat out, and when there’s some bits of kiwi in our dessert, then of course eat lah. But we have never bought a single kiwi since. Really really.

It’s November now, and summer is just a month away. And… you guessed it…. fruit season coming again!

WOO HOO!

So guess what I did on Saturday?

I bought something impulsive… AGAIN!

Did I really learn my lesson?

Guess what it is…

I walk pass this scene all the time on my way to the railway station. Not a day as I walk pass this area, are there no pigeons. It may look like tourist attraction, especially in the streets of London, but I personally think, they are such a pest. They poo everywhere, on the road, on the rooftops, on the cars parked by the road, etc..

They are always there, because some bakery nearby always comes and feed the birds with their leftover breads. Some parents even bring their kids to run around with the birds. While the kids are busy trying to chase after the birds, the parent sits on the grass or on the road… which they can’t seem to realize, it’s full of pigeon poo! Maybe they feel it’s all nice and squishy?

But on rainy days… this is what happens:

Care to count how many birds there are on the line?
